This duples house was built from the desire to create two apartments with independent access in a single factory without giving up a formal identity. The designed volumes generate an architectural unicum shaped by the light that characterizes all the environments in a different way.
It has been designed with the Light. A balance was sought between volumes and surfaces, between solids and voids, between direct cuts of light and indirect views. The colors and materials used are the primary ones: lava stone, granite, white lime. Elements that underline the dialogue between form and matter.
The lava stone marks the paths, external and internal, identifying the inside and the outside with its shades of gray. Stone that recalls the magic and strength of the volcano when it is placed without polishing with its natural beauty. Stone that becomes an elegant marble surface, a black mirror, an engraved sign that divides the inside from the outside.
The familiar gray granite stone that accompanied our steps on the pavement of our cities defines the horizontal surfaces and contrasts with the white of the vertical ones.
