The planimetric survey of the entrance area of ​​the Porto excavations was carried out to carry out the project for the new ticket office of the Park. The request was to have a listed plan with the contour lines and the planimetric identification of the structures of the Port of Trajan that insist on the entrance area to the Park and the three-dimensional restitution of the listed plan. To carry out these operations, the new benchmarks, necessary to georeference the survey, were added to the local topographical network, for which the appropriate monographs were drawn up and whose coordinates were identified by differential GPS. By using a Total Station with theodolite, on the other hand, the topographic stop was carried out for the survey of the plano-altimetric points of the area. The graphic restitution work to the CAD was carried out with the aim of also detecting the internal elevation of the entrance gate, in view of a probable project of the parking lot adhering to it. Finally, the cloud of topographical points made it possible to carry out the three-dimensional restitution of the quoted plan.
